I have never been in more awesome swimming pool that that one located at the rooftop of Marina Bay Sands hotel, world’s most expensive building (it costed US$ 4.7 billion). Although this pool is normally only for the hotel guests that stay overnight, me and my boyfriend were lucky to enjoy the pool during the afternoon. Cool, isn’t it?
It was my first time ever to swim in infinity edge pool. This kind of pools produce the visual effect of water extending to the horizon, or extending “infinity”. There are many of them around the world, some in more remote areas or at the beach. Maria Beach Sands, with its view of the super modern city, will always be the best memory connected to stay in Singapore. The pool is 150 meters long. Swimming and playing around in the water, one really has felt that in a few moments, you will be right between the skyscrapers. Marina Bay Sands is definitely one of the best luxury hotels in Singapore.
Rather than alone, the views of Singapore are of course enjoyed in a couple. This place was so romantic that it felt there like on mini-honeymoon.
It is awesome that while being in the pool, the whole hotel is below you. Each of the 3 towers has floors. Altogether, there are 2,561 rooms.
The cool thing is that the pool and surrounding area is decorated with palm trees that provide some shadow. It feels like little beach paradise placed right in the middle of the city.
The rates start around 270 dollars per night. If that does not price you can afford, consider visiting an Observation Deck in Tower 3. Good news is, it is affordable ($23) It is located Hotel . The bad news is, you will miss 360-degree views of Singapore’s skyline. And you will miss the chance to take this seat next to hot girls dressed just in the bikini 🙂
This is how the hotel looks from inside. Hotel was designed by Moshe Safdie, Israeli/Canadian architect. It was first to open in November 2010.
In the surroundings of the Maria Sands Hotel, there is a huge park called Gardens at the Bay. It has 101 hectares and consists of three waterfront parks.
The most amazing experience from the part was walking the elevated walkway. There is 12 futuristic three-looking-like structures with a height of 25 meters and 50 meters. The walkway is built between the two highest threes. How cool is that?
It fact it is like an elevated garden. We have seen around quite some ferns and vines. There should be 160,000 varieties of plants. I and my boyfriend were wandering around during the daylight but it must be pretty awesome during the night, too. Maybe – next time.
If you have time, you should visit more of Singapore. Here are Ten places to visit in Singapore for Thrills, Wonders and Serenity.
