The life of travel blogger is sometimes pretty hectic: you are often on the road missing birthdays, family events and other important moments. Somehow it happened that my and my boyfriend got to spend Valentine’s day in two various parts of Europe.
It wasn’t until one week later when we got the chance to celebrate it. We took off to the capital of Bavaria. And it wasn’t ordinary place to stay!
Our romantic weekend break took place in five star Hilton Munich Park.
Hilton Munich Park is located near wonderful English Garden popular among the local people as a place of leisure. Many of them come here at the weekend to relax, have a walk and meet friends. We crossed the garden when arriving to the hotel and the place was very lively due to carnival (Fashing) taking place that exact weekend.
The city center is just half an hour away by public transportation from the hotel. Major sights are located around Marienplatz, oldest square in town. You can go there by U-bahn.
Hilton Munich Park seems to be good choice if you are interested in sightseeing and still sleep in quiet and green area: the building sits directly on the riverbank. The stream of Eisbach River in front of the hotel can be seen from the hotel restaurant.
Staying in Hilton Munich park, there is one guarantee: you will always have a lot of space. Even the basic guest rooms are 30 square meters and that is not a little. The hotel was renovated five years ago and all furniture is modern and stylish.
We stayed in an Executive King Room on the 12th floor featuring panoramatic views on the city. The room was very bright since one side of the room was an entirely window front. Overall, this room was spacious and modern, with stylish furniture and few details – yet not over combined.
The room featured a balcony so we could go to enjoy some minutes of spring sunshine. Besides of the large bed and working desk, there was also a corner with a sofa and table with fresh flowers on it.
The only thing that could work better for the guests is the wifi: the internet is 10 Euro per day. You can gain free access by becoming member of the loyalty program – it’s not hard at all (you can just sign in the reception). Yet, I think that for this level of hotels, complimentary wifi should be (and in many cases is) included.
Hilton Munich park could look like a business hotel. But don’t be mistaken: it is great place for leisure as well.
The breakfast takes place in restaurant Tivoli on the ground floor. The venue is modern and large, with lot of seating area. If you are lucky (or early:0 ) you get the chance to sit I the corner next to the river. The staff is welcoming, professional and dedicated. No mistakes allowed!
The breakfast buffet is indeed amazing, including live cooking corner and machines that are preparing freshly squeezed juices from oranges and carrots.
There is a 750m2 Hilton Health Club & Spa located at the lowest foor. Thanks to my boyfriend I finally took an advantage of a hotel gym – normally I would just take two seconds to see it at leave, but yes, we actually spend about one hour exercising. The equipment is quite new and easy to use.
The wellness area includes indoor swimming pool, sauna and steam room. It’s great to spend one hour or two. We were lucky that no one was around and had the area to ourselves.
I really love to spend time in the water, so I enjoyed the Hilton’s swimming pool to the maximum. It’s not that big but you can still have a bit of swimming and bathing there.
And I tell you a secret: when you switch on the stream, you can swim against it endlessly.
Would you like to enjoy Hilton park hotel with great spa facilities and easy acess to the Munich sights?
My stay at Hilton Munich park was complimentary.
